Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about how PASSNP works. Still unsure? Start free and decide once you've seen the questions.
Which exams does PASSNP prep for?
PMHNP-BC (ANCC) is live today. The platform is built specialty-first, so new specialties slot in cleanly as we add them.
Who writes the questions?
Every question is written by board-certified NPs and grounded in current guideline references (DSM-5-TR, APA, ACC/AHA, USPSTF). A clinician always has the final word - no question is served to a student until it has been reviewed and marked verified.
Do I have to pay to try it?
No. Free accounts get 5 questions per day on one specialty, the full Study Mode experience for the correct-answer rationale, unlimited bookmarks & notes, and 7 days of analytics history. Sign up takes about 30 seconds.
How does billing work?
Free accounts can use the app immediately. Paid access is the All-Access Pass — a one-time prepaid purchase (1, 3, 6, or 12 months) per specialty that unlocks the full question bank, Exam Mode, flashcards, every Library course, and full analytics. Live classes and 1:1 coaching are always booked à la carte. See the pricing page for details.
What does "Explain More" do?
After answering a question, members with a paid plan can click "Explain More" for a 150-200 word clinical explainer - the underlying mechanism, a memorable pearl or mnemonic if there is one, and the relevant guideline. Think of it as a colleague pulling out the whiteboard.
Do I have to cancel a subscription?
No. The All-Access Pass is a one-time purchase, not a subscription — it never auto-renews, so there is nothing to cancel. When your prepaid period ends your account simply returns to the free tier, and your progress and bookmarks stay in your account.
Does the Exam Mode threshold match the real exam?
Exam Mode uses the official pass threshold configured per specialty (75% by default until certifying body data is confirmed). Question counts and time limits match the real ANCC / AANP specs.
Is there a refund policy?
