FAQ

IV Therapy & Blood Withdrawal questions

Will my state board accept this course?

It is approved for the California BVNPT requirement for LVNs. Approval and scope vary by state board, so confirm with yours before enrolling — that is a five-minute call that saves a wasted enrollment.

Do I actually start IVs on people?

Yes. The course includes supervised live IV starts and blood draws, under direct instructor supervision, in addition to practice on task trainers. Hands-on practice is the point of the 36 hours.

What do I submit to my board?

Your course completion certificate, following your board’s current process. We issue the completion; the board records the certification on your license.

Does this certification expire?

It does not lapse on a two-year cycle the way an AHA card does, but your employer may require periodic competency validation, and board requirements do change — confirm the current rule with your board rather than assuming.

How do I pick my class dates?

Checkout reserves your enrollment, not a specific date. We email you the available dates right after purchase and confirm your seat.
