Service Agreement for The American Heart Association - PALS Instructor Course (Online)

By enrolling in The American Heart Association - PALS Instructor Course (Online), you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Eligibility: Participants must have a current, unexpired AHA PALS Provider card to be eligible for The American Heart Association - PALS Instructor Course (Online).

Certification: Upon completing The American Heart Association - PALS Instructor Course (Online), participants will receive an American Heart Association PALS Instructor card, valid for two years.

Refunds and Cancellations: Refunds will not be provided for The American Heart Association - PALS Instructor Course (Online) once the course has begun. Participants may cancel their enrollment in the course before the course start date and may be eligible for a refund, less an administrative fee.

Technical Support: Technical support is available for participants who experience issues accessing or navigating the online portion of the course.

Code of Conduct: Participants must conduct themselves professionally and respectfully throughout the course. Any inappropriate or disruptive behavior may result in immediate dismissal from the course.

Intellectual Property: All course materials provided to participants, including the AHA PALS Instructor Manual and other instructional materials, are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced or distributed without prior written consent from the American Heart Association.

PALS Instructor Course (Online)

Course Description: American Heart Association - PALS Instructor Course

The American Heart Association - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor Course is designed for healthcare professionals who are passionate about teaching life-saving skills to other healthcare providers. The course provides participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to become certified PALS instructors, enabling them to teach other healthcare professionals how to provide advanced cardiovascular and respiratory care to pediatric patients in emergency situations.

During the PALS Instructor Course, participants will learn how to use the AHA PALS Instructor Manual and accompanying materials to plan, prepare, and conduct PALS courses. The course includes training on how to teach pediatric advanced life support techniques, including basic life support, airway management, rhythm disturbances, electrical therapy, and pharmacology. Participants will also learn how to evaluate student performance and provide feedback to improve their skills.

In this course, you will learn to:

  • Teach PALS to healthcare providers
  • Use the AHA PALS Instructor Manual and accompanying materials
  • Demonstrate proper PALS techniques, including airway management and electrical therapy
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback
  • Manage PALS courses and maintain accurate records

Upon successful completion of the PALS Instructor Course, participants will receive an American Heart Association PALS Instructor card, which is valid for two years. As a certified PALS instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach life-saving skills to healthcare providers in your community and help improve patient outcomes.

Certification: American Heart Association PALS Instructor card, valid for two years
